I was tasked with creating a model of 1 microchannel of a piezoelectric printhead. I've modelled it but the solution doesn't converge (max no. of iterations reached). The physics I've used are Piezoelectric devices and Fluid Structure Interaction (FSI). I've applied a voltage to the actuator which deflects the diaphragm downward which is supposed to pressurize the incoming fluid out through the nozzle. My FSI boundary conditions are inlet velocity of 1 um and outlet pressure of 0 respectively. The stationary solution doesn't converge. I tried a time dependent solution which said that it failed to find consistent initial values and hence the solution didn't converge. Also note that there are a number of warning s which say "inverted mesh element". How should I solve this problem? Have I chosen the right physics? Are my boundary conditions right? Please help!
